We at Polyamyna Nanotech Inc. endeavor to develop next-generation antimicrobial materials to prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAI), eventually striving to address global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) catastrophe.

The work term student will be working under the guidance of senior chemists, and the job responsibilities may include some of the following, but not limited to:

  • Detailed literature survey, market research and patent search
  • Chemical synthesis of materials
  • Characterization of the materials through sophisticated analytical instruments
  • Writing technical reports and daily maintenance of lab notebook


  • The student must be working towards Process Engineering, Chemistry or Biochemistry degree
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry, characterization, etc
  • Working experience and knowledge about characterization techniques such as FTIR, TGA and SEM would be beneficial
  • Must have (or) willing to acquire Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification
